THE MAKER
Sixteen years at the bench.
Glenn started working leather in 2010. Late college nights stitching by hand, building a craft that would follow him for the next sixteen years.
After a few years apart from it, he came back in 2020 with fresher eyes and a sharper sense of what makes a piece last. Living room floor. Spare bedroom. A small studio in Pawtucket. Then in 2023, he moved into the Winsmith Mill Market in Norwood, Massachusetts, the old Winslow and Smith tannery, where leather had been worked for over a century before him. A small irony: a tannery is once again a leather shop.
Every SHEATH Heritage Roll is cut, stitched, and finished by Glenn at his bench in that building. About four hours per roll. No assembly line. No team of stitchers. When a roll comes back for repair, it lands on the same bench it was made on.
Glenn also makes leather goods under his own brand, Greylock USA from the same workshop, by the same hands.
I have a passion for really beautiful material, and I try to highlight that in every piece I make.
